Mint - Mint the Coins!

Yestrday I had been to India Govrnment Mint; a place where coins are minted along with students and few of my collegues as a part of Industrial Visit.
Tons and Tons of blank coins and finished coins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Fom childhood I have been very fascinated about the coins. I should be more precise as " Moha " on the coins.

After looking at them at MINT, I have lost the MOHA on the coins!
We were briefed by the staff and officers at every processing stage about the product termed coins at the factory.
For the first time, the Mint allowed students to visit the shop floors!
Students were really excited to look at the coins - blank as well as finished ones!

So many uncommon and common things  are associated with this BrihanMumbai! Its approximately 8 months being here. I have not been able to visit any place of tourists' interests.

but their has been a virtual tour as well as a real tour of mumbai in other words.

June 28th 2009, I finally landed at Mumbai to join my hubby.

June 30th joined TCET.

July 2nd , travelled to Nerul- Navi Mumbai using Western and Harbour line local.

November went to Pune for Infosys Training. Commuting round was throgh the buses. So did see through the window - plenty of places!

January , 1 week long  STTP - Short Term training Programme was held at Vasai and week long Local travelling!As a part of Industrial Visit went to Prabhadevi's Tata Communications(VSNL) - saw Bandra - Worli Sea link from every floor of Tata Communications' building!

From a suburban  Kandivali of BrihanMumbai moved to Virar (Vasai taluk- Thane Dist). Now Mumbai Darshan on local!

Next I shall write about my experiences in locals!

You can hardly categorise the experiences as bad, good, fun, enjoyable, irritating .....

Its a Mixture!

ಅಂತೂ ಇಂತೂ M . Tech ಬಂತು

ಅಂತೂ ಇಂತೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಬಂತು ಅನ್ನೋ ಧಾಟಿಲಿ ಈಗ ನಾನು ಅಂತೂ ಇಂತೂ M . Tech ಬಂತು ಅಂತ ಹಾಡೋ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ.
೨೦೦೭ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಹೇಗೋ ಏನೋ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾಯ್ತು.

The day we joined there was a feeling that it has started with a wrong note.

We started attending the classes and were completely busy the whole week.

Allmost all of us were busy from monday to friday with our profession and on saturdays and sundays we dedicated ourselves for the course.

Along with us, all our faculties and non- teaching staff worked day in and out taking more pain than us.

We are all thankful to them.

Looking back, I wonder what a pleasent journey it was!

Oh My God!

We were denied to be recognised as students of the University intially and we went to honourable High Court, applied a Writ Petition. At the 11th hour we took Interim Order and wrote exams. That to till the last 15min of the first paper we did not have the University Seat No.!

We got the numbers but all went wrong once again!

Exams were done but the problem of attaching name to the number and number the name of the student persisted till the Viva -Voce!

1st Semester results were out for all others but not for us.

It seemed to be a never ending problem.

Once again with the help of court intervention we had results.

Saga continued for 2nd and 3rd semesters as well.

The D-day of Project Submission came and most of us were done with the Dissertation.

Problem persisted of being non-recognised students with USN and Names.

For all other submitted candidates at the university, Project Viva - Voce were under progress and for us there was no sign of being called for!

All of us started literally crying and screaming at every other person in the system.

All others were finally done with the Viva and even in our college other branches were done with!

It was a continuing problem only with the Digital Electronics students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What good fate all of us have !

Generally the Viva -Voce is done by the end of nov or maximum 1st week of dec and for our set there was no intimation at all as the problem of University seat no. and recognition of the students' name was not yet cleared.

All of us said Guasshhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Finally - Finally the solution was figured out and we were told that this year only for us viva - voce would be conducted!

The day came 1 by 1 for all of us.

It started with Dileep and ended with Gangadaraiah.

Inbetween was mine.

At last everything was done.

Results also turned up.

To our surprise, beleve me all the three ranks in the University for the category of M.Tech in Digital Electronics has been bagged by EWIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The regular SDM Dharwad was left behind with SSIT Tumkur as well!

Hey Come on , We started with a wrong note and ended with a BIG BANG!

Hardly we were expecting to clear M.Tech and get a degree and even our institute was in the same mood of just getting their students as recognised by the university and let the students get their degree. They did strive towards that and now the management and staff is really on an edge!

I do wish all our juniors to keep up their spirits high and continue to bag ranks for the institute.

They do have a good set of people to guide them in all the front.

Masters by itself is an accomplishment and having a rank is a niche!!!!!!!!!!

"Do get a rank for yourself and for the Institute." - thats what I would tell my juniors.

Its by experience!

I am enjoying having recieved Master's Certificate along with a Rank Certificate.
